What a cracking opening weekend!

The anglers enjoyed the fine weather over the weekend and were rewarded with plenty of trout.

Both loughs fished well, reports are that fish are tight in the sides on both the North and South shore on the Great Lough and on the East Bank of the Little Lough.

Various methods are working well, from Buzzers and Diawls on the Little Lough to flies of colour on the great lough such has Tequila Boobies, Fabs and Blobs. Cats and Black Cormorants also doing the damage on the Great lough.

The best bit of advice from the lads who did well is to move around and drift the shore. The fish are reported to be in pockets.

Some really nice over wintered fish coming out as well. Simon Birds first fish of the season was a beautiful 3lb Brown then his next three fish where also Browns! These are all naturals as we don’t stock Brown Trout. Brian Lillie and Scott Nellins bagged 50 between them, as did Anth McKenna and Stan Moore.
